What sets the south-west apart

The south-west is the part of Mallorca that looks most like the Riviera: the natural harbour of Port d'Andratx with its terraced hillsides, the small bay of Camp de Mar with a restaurant on a rocky islet reached by footbridge, Santa Ponsa with its wide beach and three golf courses, and Peguera and Costa de la Calma with shallow sandy coves for families. In between lie pine-clad slopes, long views to the sea and the Tramuntana mountains at your back.

Villas here typically stand on the slopes above Port d'Andratx and Camp de Mar, in the quiet residential enclaves of Sol de Mallorca and Costa d'en Blanes, and near the marinas of Puerto Portals and Port Adriano. Many are modern houses with full-height glass, an infinity pool and a view of the harbour or open sea; others are older estates with mature gardens. Palma airport is 30 to 45 minutes away depending on the address, Palma itself 20 to 35.

A holiday here keeps everything close: restaurants along the harbour at Andratx, boat trips to the island of Dragonera, walks from Sant Elm, the Wednesday market in Andratx, golf, tennis and beach clubs. Florian Settele has known these addresses for years and can tell you which hillside road becomes steep, where the evening view lasts longest and which house works with small children. Ask us and we will come back to you as quickly as we can.

Frequently asked questions

How far is Palma airport from the south-west?

Santa Ponsa and Portals Nous are around 25 to 30 minutes along the Ma-1 motorway; Camp de Mar and Port d'Andratx take 35 to 45 minutes. Transfers can be arranged on request at an additional charge.

Which beaches are nearby?

Camp de Mar and Cala Fornells are small, sheltered coves; Santa Ponsa and Peguera have broad sandy beaches with shallow water for children. Cala Llamp near Andratx is a rocky inlet for confident swimmers, and Sant Elm looks across to the island of Dragonera.

What is the minimum stay in high season?

In July and August most owners ask for a week, often Saturday to Saturday. Each villa's calendar shows the minimum stay for your dates; outside high season shorter stays are often possible.

Which marinas serve the south-west?

Port d'Andratx, Puerto Portals and Port Adriano, plus the Club Nàutic at Santa Ponsa. Berths, boat charters or a day at sea with a skipper can be arranged through our concierge; we quote the cost in advance.
