Accessible Villas in Mallorca and Ibiza

On holiday portals, accessible is an elastic word. For us it begins with having been inside the house and looked at the things that decide daily life: Is there a step-free route from the parking space to the front door and on to bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and terrace? How wide are the doors, is the shower level with the floor, are there grab rails, a lift between floors or a hoist at the pool? Older fincas with stairs and thresholds are left out of this category, however lovely they may otherwise be.

Here we show houses that meet at least one of these criteria; the filters tell you which. No house suits every need automatically. A wheelchair user requires something different from a guest who would rather avoid stairs after an operation, or from a family whose grandparents simply prefer a single-storey house. That is why, before any booking, we talk with you about what you actually need and ask the owner about anything we are not certain of.

We also look after the journey beyond the villa: a hire car with room for a wheelchair, transfers from Palma or Ibiza airport, beaches with boardwalks and amphibious chairs, which several municipalities in Mallorca and Ibiza provide in summer, and restaurants without steps. These services are coordinated by our concierge at an additional charge.
